Reformation Parish

Worship

Feasting in gathered assembly each Lord's Day through Word and Sacrament.

The Lord’s Day

God has declared that all members of his body are to congregate together in local assemblies for regular worship on the Lord’s Day. Every Sunday, Reformation Parish gathers to worship the Triune God through Word and Sacrament.

We meet at Eastside Elementary School every Sunday at 10:00 AM.
1225 Eastside School Rd, Senoia, GA 30276

What to Expect

You do not need to be a member to attend. Visitors are warmly welcome. Here is what a typical Lord’s Day looks like:

Prelude & Preparation Music is played as the congregation gathers and prepares their hearts for worship.

Call to Worship The minister calls the congregation to worship on God’s authority, from God’s Word.

Psalm or Hymn of Praise We sing together to the God who has called us.

Confession of Sin & Absolution We acknowledge our sin before God and receive the declaration of his pardon in Christ.

The Ministry of the Word We read from multiple portions of Scripture, followed by expository preaching.

The Lord’s Supper We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Lord’s Day. The Supper is a memorial of Christ and his death through sacred use of bread and wine, to be observed by the Church until the end of the world. All baptized covenant members — including baptized children who are able to physically eat and drink — are welcome at the Table.

Offering & Prayers of Intercession We bring our tithes before God and pray for the Church and the world.

Benediction The minister pronounces God’s blessing on the congregation as they are sent into the week.

The Sacraments

Baptism. Baptism with water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is a sign and seal of the covenant of grace — a sign of one’s engrafting into Christ to walk in newness of life. We baptize the infant children of believing parents as members of the covenant community.

The Lord’s Supper. The Lord’s Supper is a covenant meal in which Christ feeds his people and renews the promises of the gospel. We practice weekly communion and welcome all baptized covenant members, including baptized children who are able to eat and drink.

Children in Worship

We believe children belong in the assembly of God’s people. Families are encouraged to bring their children into worship. Children learn to worship by participating in the liturgy, hearing the Word preached, and receiving the Lord’s Supper with the covenant community.

Dress

Come as you are. Many of our members dress in their “Sunday best” as an act of reverence.
